The mission of the Sewer Operation/Maintenance Department is to provide for the collection and treatment of sewage waste from the residential and commercial users.

Responsibilities include the operation and maintenance of the new wastewater treatment plant.  Additional responsibilities include construction and maintenance of collection lines, new service connections, maintenance of sewer lift stations, and removal of line blockages.

The department funds 1 salaried supervisory position and 6 full-time hourly positions.  The department funds also provide for the training and licensure of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators.  Additional funds are included to continue to make improvements to the lift stations in order to meet TCEQ requirements.
